Don't believe everything you see on the web...

The Saluki archives could be a great resource of knowledge for all saluki lovers, they obviously have put in a large amount of work.  It was very nice to see how quickly they put up a litter announcement - and it's free of charge! However, the true worth of a database is in the validity of the information.

For a long time now, there has been a picture of a saluki on Yasir's data page, which is not of Yasir, but his brother Yafarraar. It's easy to tell: different colour (scroll down to "High speed hounds" and it's easy to compare), different construction and wrong handler behind the dog.

We tried contacting the administration about it already last autumn, but the given e-mail address didn't work. On March the 20th 2014 we sent another message, which got through (and was acted upon in other respects), but still the picture hasn't been taken down! We do understand it's hard work keeping up a database like that, but numerous updates have been done since March...

So be aware, when you surf the website. The informations you'll find, may not be correct.

The dog in the picture is El Hamrah Yafarraar, not El Hamrah yasir al-Azhar!
