Puppy Plans 2020

We hope for puppies in early May 2020 between Ch Kasaque Ra Frankel of Saruk and Ch Al-Zubeyda Laila Aïcha.

Frankel is a 7 years old gentleman and has a lovely, steady temperament. He has been bred by Helen and Michael Williams and lives in UK with his owner Marie Bryce Smith. Aïcha is 4 years old, happy, sweet, and sensitive girl. She has been bred in France by Jean-Luc Lemouzy and lives in Finland with us. Both Frankel and Aïcha have been healthy and are a joy to live with. They both are also show champions.

Both the future parents are heart scanned and thyroid tested without any signs of illness. Frankel has also been tested for the NCL mutation and is not a carrier. Aïcha has had her eyes checked without any findings. The COI based on 7 generations is 1,93% (source: Saluki Archives).

If you are looking for the modern exaggerated show type, this litter is probably not for you. If you are looking for the “good old” Saluki – moderate and sound, yet elegant - this litter might be the right one for you. We hope to produce excellent companions, with potential for all kinds of saluki activities. The expected colour are grizzle and if we are lucky also grizzle parti.

We have personally known or at least met many of the salukis is this pedigree, even as far as 10 generations back. The Pedigree is a combination of lines we know very well and lines that can bring in something new. We are particularly pleased to be able to continue the Kasaque-line, with many generations of the most beautiful and athletic salukis. Even though the COI is low and the pedigree looks quite mixed at a first glance, the litter is actually a line breeding to some beautiful old El Hamrah and Khalils salukis.
